Closing a meaningful chapter with MassChallenge HealthTech!
We officially closed our healthcare accelerator chapter with MassChallenge last week and what a sweet ending it was!
We had the rare luxury of having the full team together in Boston: my husband and co-founder Shahab Bayani, Ph.D., our advisor Professor Greg Collier, and our medical director Dr. Amanda Moyer. We spent a beautiful sunny day cheering with the hashtag#Scots in hashtag#Boston (yes, no hashtag#Scotland, no hashtag#party!), followed by an unforgettable evening watching the Red Sox vs Blue Jays at Fenway Park.
I’m especially grateful to the MassChallenge team, particularly Junko Carter and Taylor Witkin, for their dedication, warmth, and genuine support throughout this journey.
Here at this closing, I want to share a few takeaways with fellow founders and aspiring entrepreneurs:
Many of us know the importance of product-market fit, building a strong team, human-centered design, and staying close to our users. These are essential gears in the machine. But even with a near-perfect product, it doesn’t automatically make you a successful business.
The real golden key lies in relationships, network expansion, and a bit of luck along the way.
MassChallenge gave Leaf Guardian exactly that, meaningful connections, visibility, and a supportive community. We’re excited to continue leaning on this incredible network as we grow.
Big news coming soon: We’re closing on our first official office in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
